Vinyl Showdown has been laying down the wild sounds of R&B blasters, hillbilly boppers, soul scorchers, garage movers and rockabilly monsters since 2010. Started by George Hadjidakis (DJ Zeus the Rock and Roll God) and Sylvia Parker (DJ Tom Kat Kitten), they were soon joined by Lars Espensen (DJ Great Dane). Their all-vinyl DJ shows feature the 1950s and 60s - the golden age of American popular music from their personal record collections.
Vinyl Showdown grooves on the hits and the unsung greats of Rock and Roll, R&B, Country and Soul in gorgeous 100% analog sound. Doses of magic slabs o'wax that give you that itchy twitchy feeling and getcha rockin' & reelin have been served at fine Tuscaloosa and Northport venues inclding Egan's, Green Bar, Grace Aberdean Habitat Alchemy and The Southern Letterpress. They are available for club dates, parties, weddings and bar mitzvas.
